Transparency International Secretariat is recruiting a People Associate (m/f/d) to join its People & Culture Team in Berlin, Germany.

The position is full-time and hybrid, offering an opportunity to work for a leading global organisation dedicated to fighting corruption and promoting transparency and accountability.

The final salary will depend on the candidate's relevant professional experience.

About the Role

The People Associate will play an important role in ensuring the efficient delivery of HR operations and services across the Transparency International Secretariat.

The successful candidate will provide employee support, coordinate payroll administration, maintain HR data and records, manage employee benefits and assist with immigration and employment-related administration.

The position will also involve close cooperation with People Business Partners, Finance, external service providers and public authorities.

Main Responsibilities

The People Associate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the central HR inbox and responding to employee questions and requests;
  • Preparing and managing employee documentation, including employment certificates and reference letters;
  • Maintaining accurate employee records in HR information systems;
  • Coordinating the monthly payroll administration process;
  • Administering employee benefits, including meal vouchers and sports memberships;
  • Supporting visa, residence permit and work authorisation procedures;
  • Liaising with employees, authorities and external stakeholders;
  • Working closely with People Business Partners and Finance colleagues;
  • Supporting improvements and standardisation of HR administrative processes;
  • Contributing to other People & Culture projects and operational priorities.

Requirements

Transparency International is looking for candidates with at least two years of professional experience in HR administration, HR operations or a comparable role.

Applicants should have a relevant academic qualification, professional certification or vocational training in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience with HR information systems, employee data management, payroll administration and benefits processes is required or highly desirable.

Experience in an international and multicultural environment is an advantage, while knowledge of German employment administration practices is desirable.

Language Requirements

Candidates must have fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written.

The organisation is also looking for someone with:

  • Strong organisational skills;
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy;
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively;
  • Discretion when handling confidential information;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
